The first-ever Digital Nichee Award party will take place at Chicago's Hunt Club on September 21, the final day of the Niche Digital Conference.
Digital opportunities for magazine publishers are exploding through interactive websites, mobile apps, eNewsletters, etc. The Digital Nichees recognize small - and medium-sized publications with targeted audiences that have harnessed the power of these new technologies to boost readership, increase engagement, and create new revenue streams.
All entries are due by August 25, 2010.

A panel of digital magazine & publishing experts will judge the Digital Nichee Awards. Entries will be judged on understanding of the target readership, innovation, effectiveness, and creativity. The judges will take into account the size of each title's market.
Best Website: This category is judged on the traditional elements of graphic design, functionality and navigational elements as well as content and effective use of the web medium. Tell us what you think is outstanding or innovative, give us a link to your site, and submit a PDF file of your web stats.
Best eNewsletter: This category is for the best e-newsletter used for driving traffic to your main website. Design, content, and effective use of e-mail will be judged. Tell us what us what makes your e-newsletter outstanding, how it ties in with your publications, website, and events, and attach a PDF or submit a link to your chosen issue.
Best Digital Edition: This category is judged on how well it ties in with your other digital products, design, and ease of use. Tell us what you think is outstanding or innovative about your digital edition, how it ties in with your other digital products (website, e-newsletter, events, online communities, social media, mobile apps, etc.), which vendor you use, and submit a PDF or link to the issue.
Best Mobile App: This category is judged on the best use of mobile technology for editorial purposes. This could be a smartphone application, a mobile-optimized website, or other mobile feature. Ease of use, content, and functionality will be considered. Tell us what you think is outstanding or innovative about your product, how it ties in with your other digital products and your print magazine, and submit a link or PDF of the UI.
